First Aid

Our courses

Kingswood Sports are proud to offer a range of affiliated First Aid Courses. These include:

  • First Aid at Work (3 day)
  • Paediatric First Aid  (2 day)
  • Emergency First Aid at Work (1 day)
  • Emergency Paediatric First Aid (1 day)
  • Use of a Defibrilator (1 day)
  • Understanding Anaphylaxis (1 day)
  • Basic CPR and use of AED (4 hours)
  • Basic life-suppport (3 hours). 

These are all offered as sessions within the workplace or as part of one of our community-based sessions. All courses are guaranteed to be fun, engaging and enjoyable.

Basic First Aid and Life Support

Our Basic First Aid and Life support is a Level 2, three hour course. The course covers:

  • CPR
  • Use of a defibrilator
  • Primary Survey
  • Recovery position
  • Choking

The qualification lasts for three years, and renews with the completion of this course. 

Basic Life Support and use of a defibrillator

This four-hour, Level 2 course covers practical and theory based first-aid including the areas of:

  • Responsibilities and reporting
  • Assessment of an emergency situation
  • Resuscitation
  • Minor injuries
  • Dealing with an unresponsive casualty
  • Using a defibrillator
  • Safety measures

The qualification lasts for three years and the course needs completing again to regain this.

Use of a defibrillator

Our Defibrillation course is a Level 2 award, lasting six hours. It covers all aspects of using a defibrillator safely. The full course covers:

  • Reporting and responsibilities
  • Assessment of an emergency situation
  • Dealing with an unresponsive casualty
  • The functions of a defibrillator
  • Resuscitation
  • Heart attacks
  • Infection control
  • Defibrillator procedures
  • Choking
  • AED safety
  • Paediatric defibrillation

This qualification lasts for three years.
