Another great night down at Winifred Holtby with 38 girls enjoying their football 👌⚽ and we welcomed 3 new Squad girls Isabelle, Phoebe and Jasmine 🙌.
Our Squad girls had quite a bit of match play tonight and also spent time practising some skills. Maci🏆 and Abbie🏆 took home our trophies this week for their work rates and stamina💪.
Our older Wildcats warmed up with bulldog as chosen by the girls and then moved into 'safe squares' where the girls had to keep their footballs from getting stolen when not in the safe squares and the tacklers had to try 'steal'. We then tried a new game which involved teams passing it through a 'danger zone' full of defenders to the team on the other side before finishing off the drills with some dribbling & shooting! As always we finished with a 5v5 match - great effort from both teams! 👊 Our trophy winner was Wren for her awesome keeping 🙌⚽.
Our younger Wildcats and Cubs joined forces this week and played 'Ultimate' Tigers Tails' and 'Stuck in the Mud', they then practiced lots of movement with the ball whilst following instructions. We then had a quick fire shoot out between 2 teams and finished off with our mini matches. Our Wildcats of the week were Lily🏆 for her energy and enthusiasm tonight and Eva-Mae🏆 who had a great attitude and tried so hard tonight. Our Cubs trophy winners were Lucy🏆 and Olivia🏆 both for their effort and goal scoring in the mini match.
Another fantastic week of football and we can't wait to do it all again next week 😃
